A Song for Summer - June 13, 2009

Project Applause presented "A Song for Summer"; an elegant gala concert that featured internationally recognized countertenor Christopher Fritzsche, acclaimed soprano Susan Witt-Butler and introduced local sopranos Kimberly Anderman, Christa Durand and Eva Maass with accompaniment by pianist Dr. Leslie Dukes.

The performance spotlighted an historic array of vocal literature spanning the last four centuries and featured the timeless works of Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Fauré, Puccini and others.  All proceeds benefited Project Applause, a non-profit 501(c)3 for the arts that works to provide extensive performance experience to emerging classical vocalists

The event took place at the Glaser Center, 547 Mendocino Ave in Santa Rosa on June 13, 2009. The evening began at 7pm with a pre-show reception featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.
